Nasdaq Inches Up, Lags Boom In Banks, Small Caps; These 3 Growth Stocks Break Out

The stock market traded mildly higher in late-afternoon action, but small caps took the reins amid a roughly 0.2% lift by the Nasdaq composite. The Russell 2000 dominated the upside with a 2.5% gain with roughly an hour to go in the regular session. At 1852, the small-cap Russell index is recouping even more losses caused by the downfall of regional banks SVB Financial and Signature Bank of New York in March.
