Local health care entity to build hospital in Florida

Birmingham-based Encompass Health Corp. (NYSE: EHC) plans to build yet another hospital in Florida. Encompass Health currently has 19 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Florida and has revealed plans to open an additional seven hospitals in the state over the next several years. The most recently unveiled plans are for a freestanding, 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Daytona Beach.
